In order to ensure that the KLEIN KAROO Group’s diverse operational activities are effectively carried out and managed, the Group employs approximately 1000 people.

These employees are structured within various departments, namely Production (Meat, Leather and Feathers), Marketing, Trade, Mechanisation, Seed, Finance, Human Resources, Administration, Research & Development and Public Relations, as well as a number of subsidiary companies.

A high premium is placed on the development of employees at all levels, hence the continual focus on formal management, supervisory and technical training.  Employees are furthermore encouraged to make use of the Study Assistance Scheme to further their qualifications.

A policy of promotion from within ensures that every employee recognises the need for participation in the Skills Development Programme.

Commitment to quality and service excellence is a way of life at KLEIN KAROO, and employees are hand-picked for their expertise, experience and dedication.

Important matters such as employment equity, safety and health in the workplace, social upliftment within the community and industrial relations are handled responsibly and to the benefit of all stakeholders. A fulltime primary health care facility is operated.

KLEIN KAROO is the facilitator of a housing scheme for employees who qualify for assistance by the finanacial institutions, government and the Group.
