Klein Karoo Group maintains a research facility for the benefit of members. Members can utilise the services of the research facility to assist with the analysis of production data, post mortems on ostriches, water & feed analysis and act in a diagnostic capacity – in other words helping to resolve problems.

In this respect the research facility is another service to assists producers with achieving optimal results.Research is often undertaken in consultation with international pharmaceutical companies or at the request of specific institutions such as Universities and the Western Cape Department of Agriculture.

A bi-monthly publication provides additional information to interested parties.The research facility also assists the processing facilities, such as the ostrich abattoir with quality control issues, hygiene, shelf life of products, monitoring of illnesses and maintaining international standards.
