KLEIN KAROO Fruit is fresh, tasty and delicious.
Irresistible stone and deciduous fruit are cultivated by KLEIN KAROO shareholders. The KLEIN KAROO fruit garden is found in the heart of the scenic Klein Karoo near Ladismith and Prince Albert as well as in the fertile Klein Karoo Valley around Oudtshoorn, South Africa.
Effective fruit marketing services and packaging materials are supplied mainly by the KLEIN KAROO Ladismith LandMark and the Prince Albert Agri Supermarket.

The Klein Karoo region’s fruit season comprises of:
l The early delivery of juicy nectarines in October
l Followed by the world’s most tasty apricots from November
l From December until March it is time for delectable plums
l Some of the juiciest table grapes are available from December until April
Fruit growing areas in the KLEIN KAROO region include Ladismith, Prince Albert, Oudtshoorn and Calitzdorp.
State of the art collection and grading facilities at Ladismith allow for inspection services by the Perishable Products Export Control Board of South Africa (PPECB).
Infrastructure includes:
l A packing and weighing zone
l Three smaller cool rooms for the forcing of grapes
l Inspection tables
l A chiller area of almost 800 square metres
Required international cooling standards are achieved within set time frames. Maintenance of the cold chain is the key for top quality fruit
to be dispatched from the cooling facilities in Ladismith to the
appropriate delivery points at local fresh fruit markets and to
harbour cities for export shipment. Fruit from the Klein
Karoo region is mostly destined for health conscious
Europe, the Mid East and USA.

The cultivation and production of irresistible stone and deciduous fruit form the heart of the Klein Karoo Valley is the business of producer members of the KLEIN KAROO Group. Supplying appropriate and effective fruit related services and materials to these growers is the business of KLEIN KAROO Trade.
Since the takeover of the Ladismith agricultural co-operative early in 2002 the group has embarked on closer involvement with domestic fruit marketing, export fruit and the development and supply of packaging materials.
In the scenic Klein Karoo the fruit season starts with the delivery of juicy Nectarines in October. These are followed by the world’s best apricots from November until mid December. From December until March every year it is time for delectable plums. Some of the very best table grapes are delivered from December until April every year.
Fruit production areas which are serviced by the KLEIN KAROO trade divisions include Ladismith, Prince Albert, Oudtshoorn and Calitzdorp.
State of the art accumulation facilities at the Ladismith trade branch allow for the execution of inspection services by the Perishable Products Export Control Board of South Africa.
Infrastructure includes a cooling area of almost 800 square meters. Three of the smaller cool rooms are equipped for the forcing of grapes to ensure that cooling to the required international standards are done within the set time frames.
Without interruption of the cold chain top quality fruit is dispatched from the cooling facilities in Ladismith to the appropriate delivery points in and around harbor cities.
Fruit produced in the Klein Karoo region is mostly destined for European, Mid East, UK and various other markets.
